Faq's

General frequently asked questions

Yes, rental bicycles will be available at an extra cost and you will have to opt for them while registration. However, they are less in number and will be available only on a first-come-first-serve basis and might not be available to all the participants.

The roads will be fully closed and there will not be any motor vehicular traffic on the road inside the 20 km loop. However, post the given cut-off timings for the event, the route will be opened up to traffic.

There will be support crew and technicians all along the course on motorcycles and they will come to your support to help you fix your cycle. However, they will not be carrying any spares and will be only able to assigns you in using your own spares (tyres, tubes etc..) to fix your issues. Please note that there might be some issues that are too complex to be fixed on the spot, and in those cases the technicians might not be able to fix your cycle.

No, you are not allowed to ride with or draft behind participants of a different category. Doing so will lead to disqualification of all the riders across all the categories seen riding together/drafting.

If you miss the start of the race, you can still cross the start line till 10 mins after the race start. However kindly note that only the gun time will be taken into consideration for the winners and not the chip time.

Yes, there will be an aid station serving water, electrolytes, oranges, salt, chikki etc.. for every 5 km. However, if one wishes to use the aid station supplies, they have to stop and dismount their cycle before proceeding to use the aid stations.

For the Elite category, only road bikes are allowed. Any other cycle with a drop-down handlebar will also be permitted, but flat bar cycles will not be permitted.TT/Triathlon cycles, aero bars and aero equipment are strictly prohibited. In the Amateur category all types of cycles except fixed gear cycles(fixies) and Triathlon/TT cycles are permitted. All aero bars and aero equipment are strictly prohibited. For the fun ride category, any type of cycle can be used.

Yes, medical support will be available in the form of ambulances and emergency responders on the course.

Yes, all three bibs (front of the cycle, back of the rider and seat post of the cycle) have to be attached visibly in unmodified condition. This is needed to identify the rider in a photo finish to determine the winner. The timing chip will also be placed on one of the bibs, so riders without the bib will not get their timing as well.

The route is a wide, 4-lane highway with 10 km on one side and then a uturn and 10 kms back, so the overall distance of one loop is 20 km. The elevation profile of the route will be rolling, which means there will be a few small ups and downs on the course.
